Pali High Baseball Loses to Westlake in Nine Innings at Poly Classic
It’s the little things that are making a huge difference so far for the Palisades High baseball team. The Dolphins played one of their best games of the season Friday against Westlake and Coach Mike Voelkel was happy with the effort despite a 3-2 loss in nine innings.
“It was a great game and both teams played very well,” Voelkel said. “A super high school game!”
Cord Vanley had three hits, Jacob Herrera had two, Miles Kirshner had a double, Nate Akiba and Brady Kates had RBIs and Jake Moore pitched five innigs with six strikeouts. Zach Ritts allowed two hits in 3.2 relief innings.
Palisades traveled to Granada Hills on Tuesday before returning home Wednesday to host another City title contender, San Pedro.
