After a 14-3 loss to Palos Verdes in its first game Friday, Palisades rebounded to defeat San Luis Obispo 17-8. Lucas Silva led the way with four goals.
On Saturday, Gabby Feizbakhsh scored six goals as the Dolphins downed Santa Monica 11-7, a signature win against a team Palisades lost to 10-6 in an intersectional match earlier this season.
Silva scored the winning goal in sudden death overtime as Palisades edged Mission Viejo 12-11 to earn a spot in the ninth-place game. There, the Dolphins fell to Arroyo Grande 12-11, also in overtime. They traveled to Brentwood on Tuesday and host LACES on Monday.
