
The Music Center’s Blue Ribbon hosted Giorgio Armani for a fashion show, attended by Palisadian President Jill Baldauf and Co-Chairs Patti Halpert and Karen Heilman, at the Brentwood home of Susan Harris.


Students at Calvary Christian School had a visit from the Potato Truck. Festivities included an over-sized potato, DJ, and potato-themed crafts and snacks. The Idaho Potato Commission will donate $500—$1 for every signature collected while on campus—to the school’s community service partnership organization Compassion International.


The Palisades-based Newcomers and Friends Explorers group toured the historic Santa Anita Racetrack in Arcadia on Oct. 20. Members toured the grounds, which house 800 people and 1,800 horses, by tram.

In commemoration of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, an Interfaith Vigil was held at the Wilshire Avenue Federal Building on Sunday, Oct. 28. Palisadian Dr. Simon Simonian, pictured here with Mayor Eric Garcetti, attended as the Chief Representative Minister of the Religious Society of Friends Quakers Church in the Interreligious Council of Southern California Board of Directors.
