Marshall Howe, the starting quarterback for the Harvard-Westlake High football team, capped off a stellar senior season by leading the Wolverines to a 35-6 triumph over Mary Star of the Sea in their last game of the spring season. Harvard-Westlake finished 6-0 and went 3-0 in the Del Rey League.
Howe, a junior from the Riviera, will transfer to Avon Old Farms in Connecticut next year. “Amazing way to end a great season and six years at HW,” Howe tweeted after Friday’s finale. “Huge thank you to all my teammates and coaches I have been with throughout it all. Now it’s go time in Avon!”
In the team’s first five games, Howe completed 64 of 110 passes for 1,059 yards and 12 touchdowns with one interception for a QB rating of 123.3 a completion percentage of .582. He also rushed for two scores.
Howe threw for four touchdowns against El Camino Real on March 26 and three touchdowns each against and Salesian and La Salle.
