If the Palisades High girls tennis team has one mission this spring it is to recapture the City Section championship.
The girls season normally takes place in the fall but COVID-19 has caused both the boys and girls seasons to be played at the same time.
The girls got off to a fast start by blanking host Beverly Hills 18-0 in their opener.
Noe Winter beat the Normans’ No. 1 and No. 2 singles players before being subbed out for Marlena Dobrowolski, who beat the No. 3 player. No. 2 player Halsey Hulse swept all three sets as did Kalea Martin at the No. 3 singles spot.
In doubles, Jade Finestone and Anaya Ayanbadejo won two sets; Alex Glickman and Olivia Healy won a set; Sophie Szeder and Ciara Kenney swept and Sydney Gartin and Yulia Klokova won two sets.
