ANNALIESE SNOWHOOK, a sophomore at Palisades High School, has started The Bella Foundation, a nonprofit organization that takes children’s and adults’ portraits at the Ride to Fly Therapeutic Horseback Riding center in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Ride To Fly organization provides services in the treatment of various disabilities.
Snowhook,15, said she started the program because “I’m a horse lover and a photography enthusiast. I’m hoping media exposure may help me raise money so I can provide better quality portraits.”
She continued, “The clients at Ride To Fly become very attached to their therapy horses, but only get to see them once a week. A photograph of them with ‘their’ horse can be a pleasant and constant reminder of that special bond between horse and rider.”
The other three founding members of The Bella Foundation are Alicia Schomer (Da Vinci Design Charter High School), Avery Ward (Mira Costa High School), and Rebecca Schomer (Da Vinci). The girls met in middle school at Ocean Charter School in Culver City.
