Casing
On September 7 at 2 p.m., I caught a woman casing our house. She was crawling through our front landscaping, trying to look in our windows. When confronted, she claimed to be hiding from a bad man who was chasing her. There was no one else around our quiet cul-de-sac. I called the police and a local security company but of course, by the time they drove by, she was long gone. So please be aware and careful and check your home security. Watch out for your neighbors, too.
Posts
Is there anyone out there who can explain it plain to me the reason for the posts set into the streets near the park and across the way? To a silly little person like me, it seems they were put there to be hit. The sooner they are hit, the happier I will be. Something to look forward to!
Ralphs
I estimate that about one-third of the Ralphs parking lot drivers are going in the wrong direction.
Cans
We all know that dogs are colorblind, but it’s surprising how many of their owners are as well. Why else would dog waste be deposited in blue cans instead of the black ones? At least a dog could smell the difference.
Fonts
Why do you keep printing articles with white lettering and a light blue background? It is almost impossible to read them. It also doesn’t seem fair to the people featured in the article.
(Editor’s note: Thank you for pointing this out. Our team has taken a look at this and is working to amend the style so that it is more readable.)
Fall
Now that fall is almost here, I am most excited for traditional Palisades events, like the pumpkin patch and Ho Ho Ho! And to see everyone’s Halloween/holiday decorations!
Beach
I was glad to read about the upcoming changes to the beach trail. I love that we have so many options to exercise and be outdoors, and this makes one of those options safer for all.
LAFD
With the month halfway over, let’s all make an effort to support LAFD during National Preparedness Month. Whether it’s a donation or participating in Palisades Village’s campaign, it’s all important.
