Online Community Meeting | Pacific Palisades
Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness will host its next online community meeting on Monday, September 27, between 7 and 8:15 p.m.
The meeting will cover “Apartment Leasing As One Homeless Housing Solution: What’s It All About?” with featured speaker Marissa Bowman, director of housing partnerships with PATH.
“The effects of homelessness are more visible and disturbing as street encampments proliferate,” PPTFH wrote in a statement ahead of the meeting. “Elected officials struggle to find suitable immediate, mid and long-term housing solutions that are compatible with and acceptable to communities. These realities necessitate that the general public and local communities consider thinking about shaping creative solutions that work for all.”
The task force invited community members to “learn about apartment leasing for homeless individuals and how it is applied on a day-to-day basis.”
During the meeting, PPTFH is slated to have a farewell to LAPD Officer Rusty Redican, who is reported to be leaving the Palisades area toward the end of the month.
