‘Whose Club Is It?’
Walking up Temescal Canyon to Sunset, across from Pali High, we passed a parking lot with two signs. One says Pacific Palisades Women’s Club. The second says Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club. I’m wondering if one formidable woman has taken over the Club and whether there’s a backstory of this dramatic battle for control of our beloved local institution.
Traffic
For the last 2 or possibly 3 weeks Sunset Blvd. on the westbound lanes between Las Lomas and Las Casas have been closed for construction. It has caused massive traffic jams and it takes triple the amount of time to get into the Village from where I am. Sometimes cars are lined up 4 or 5 blocks. I have driven by that area at least 15-20 times over the last couple of weeks at different times of the day or evening and not once have I ever seen a worker working there. This is unbelievable. How absolutely stupid whoever scheduled this to be the way it is done.
Correction
Why are you printing a comment about addressing one’s ballot or it will not count?? That is patently untrue and misleading! All that is required is that it be signed and dated.
(Editor’s note: Please see our correction in response.)
Cleaning
A nice suggestion I received from a neighbor is to carry a trash bag and gloves with me when I go out for my daily walk. That way I can help keep our community clean while doing something I already love. I recommend the same to you all! Lending a hand sure feels good.
Pets
I’ve seen a few posts recently about pets going missing. I am hoping everyone has been reunited with their families and that we keep keeping out pets safe, and home with us.
Football
Very exciting start for the Pali football team! We love to see it. Go Dolphins!
Enoteca 5
Love Gianba and Marlo!!! We can’t wait to visit Enoteca 5 and sample all those delicious sounding wines – and food!!
Theatre
It makes me happy that live theater is back at Pierson Playhouse. Congratulations to Theatre Palisades for making it through the pandemic and for being back full force.
