The 47th annual YMCA Youth Track Meet, sponsored by the Optimist Club of Pacific Palisades, was held Saturday on the Carl Lewis Track at Palisades High’s Stadium by the Sea and kids ages 3-15 competed in a variety of events.
In the Girls 5-6 division, Mila Lindo tied for first in the 50-meter dash (9.7 seconds), won the 100 in 20.0 and won the 200 in 44.8.
In the Boys 5-6 age group, Orion Taffler swept the 50 (9.54), 100 (18.0) and 200 (42.3) races.
In the Girls 7-8 division, Katie Sakamoto won the 100 in 17.5 and the 400 in 38.5 and Ally Martin won the 200 in 38.2.
In the Boys 7-8 division, Frank Drozdz tied for first in the 50 (8.72) and won the 100 (16.8), 200 (36.1) and 400 (1:28).
In Girls 9-10, Elodie Chapus won the 100 in 15 flat and the 400 in 1:12 and Amelia Drozdz won the 200 in 35.5.
In Boys 9-10, Colin Ridgley won the 100 in 16.4, won the 200 in 36.7 and won the 400 in 1:27.
In Girls 11-12, Cara Huang won the 100 in 15.7 seconds and the 200 in 32.72.
In Boys 11-12, Sam Plant won the 100 (18.7), 200 (41.0) and 400 (1:27.6).
Aurora Taffler won the Girls 7-8 long jump at eight feet, six inches and javelin (30 feet). Amelia Drozdz won the Girls 9-10 javelin throw (46-0) and was second in the shot put (13-4).
James Marks won the Boys 9-10 long jump (10-3) and shot put (14-6) was second in javelin.
