With only three reported incidents, crime in Pacific Palisades was surprisingly low last week, LAPD Senior Lead Officer Michael Moore told the Palisadian-Post.
Another reported criminal call scam took place on Aug. 20 when an unknown caller tricked a Rustic Canyon man into believing that he was his grandson. Characterized as a “Grandparent Scam,” the suspect stole $1,800 from the victim after convincing him that he was in trouble.
On Sept. 12 at 11:30 p.m., a 47-year-old male was arrested for DUI after being involved in a traffic collision at Sunset and Ricas Canyon, and on Sept. 21, between 9:55 and 10:10 p.m, a suspect smashed several windows on a vehicle belonging to a resident of the 300 block of Rustic Road.
