Neighbors
Having just read the article about The Riviera Country Club’s new gate and the hackles being raised by the good neighbors, I think they should have a little history lesson. The club opened in 1926. The good neighbors’ tract was not developed until the mid-1950s. Let these good neighbors handle school traffic congestion before they complain about the new gate at their truly good neighbors, The Riviera Country Club.
Ouch
Dear ladies and gentleman of the Palisades: It is illegal for a manicurist to wax any part of your body. They are not trained or licensed to do so and can cause serious infection.
Fallen from the Sky
Someone missing a drone found near Palisades Charter Elementary School. Please call 310-230-7373.
Gun Fear
Acknowledgment to Pali High students and teachers for peaceful demonstration in support of gun control. Demonstrations were effective in bringing an end to the Vietnam War and hopefully they will be effective on this issue. Lots of naysayers who do not come up with an alternative. A definition of truancy is staying away from school without good reason. They have good reason.
Ryderz
There is no chance, as someone suggested here, that the Ruthless Ryderz will channel their selfish energies into good. That would mean giving up their “freedom” to behave like oversized children. I felt sorry for the man who died in the crash on Sunset last year until I saw he was not a teenager but the father of a teenager. Time to grow up, kids.
Rough Riding
To the idiot on a brown Schwinn who nearly ran over me coming down fast from somewhere in Rustic Canyon: I only hope that you get a flat. It’s the only way to keep you people off the street.
Pot Queen
Why did you smush up two different accounts about a Palisadian woman accused of running “pot farms” in the desert and, then, her plan to build a mega-mansion in the Palisades? I know pot is not illegal any more, but it still smells bad. But not as bad as you hounding this woman who made some errors in her paperwork filing, maybe. Leave her alone.
