Kicked to Curb article
My 30-unit condo building had a three-day-a-week pick up at $630 per month. Under the city-mandated company we now have a two-day-a-week pick up at $1,269. Please note, free enterprise has been murdered at the hands of Los Angeles.
Train
How about extending the light rail to the Palisades? It could run from Santa Monica along the coast taking up just a sliver of beach all the way to Point Mugu. This would really cut down on traffic and bring more tourism and business to the Palisades. The ocean view from the train would be wonderful.
Inclusive
I loved your page with so many of the town’s spiritual leaders talking about Thanksgiving, even if few of them suggested it had much to do with the real meaning of Turkey Day—which is shopping. Next year maybe they could also include some tips on the best electronic goods to look out for on Black Friday? And, also, could you include some of the other churches you missed out this year, such as the Scientologists?
Trotting
I want to thank the organizers of the Turkey Trot for a wonderful day. Everyone was good humored and got along, even when it was getting pretty nuts. I think they should take over the government. They would be so much better at it than anyone else around right now.
Blinkers
I have noticed the type of drivers that are too self-important or lazy to use their blinkers before turning left or right: it’s always a white SUV, probably a Land Rover or a Range Rover. Second up is a Tesla, the third a Prius driven by the poorer people on Sunset. They are already saving the planet, so why bother with safe driving?
Caruso
I can either afford a house in the Palisades, because I bought it 30 years ago, or go shopping at all those new stores that you named last week. But not both.
Parking
I’ve been living at my address for 40 years and just randomly got a parking violation for parking in front of my own house.
Hazardous?
I was wondering if you know anything about the Frontier Communication building across the post office in the Village. I saw a chemical hazard sign on a few of its doors. Why would an internet office have that?
