Chef Stefan Richter, restaurateur and “Top Chef” contestant, recently listed an Alphabet Streets home for sale at $5.8 million.
Richter, a 46-year-old chef who hails from Finland, was a runner-up in the fifth season of the Bravo show. He also competed in season 10. Richter currently operates Stefan’s Steakhouse in several cities in Finland, including Tampere, Turku and Helsinki.
The contemporary farmhouse-style, six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home “infuses everyday living with chic sophistication,” according to the listing. The floor plan, designed to be inviting, includes a formal living room that transitions to a dining area.
With wide plank oak floors throughout, the kitchen feature Wolf/Subzero appliances, custom cabinetry and a breakfast area. The main level also features a formal family room and guest en-suite.
The family room’s doors open to a backyard, which comes complete with a pool and built-in barbecue. Upstairs includes a master bedroom with a sitting room, fireplace, balcony, dual closets and a spa-like master bath. Also upstairs are three additional en-suites.
A movie theater, game room, additional en-suite bedroom and wine area can all be found on the lowest level of the home.
Richter bought the 6,000-square-foot home, which is currently listed by Kathy Ellis of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, last year for $5.21 million. The home was built in 2016.
