Dozens of people gathered on Sunset Boulevard in the Riviera neighborhood of Pacific Palisades amid swarms of Secret Service, LAPD, helicopters and K-9 units to watch President Barack Obama’s motorcade arrive at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.
About 30 supporters paid up to $33,400 to attend a “discussion” at the Riviera home of TV producer/director/writer Chuck Lorre (“The Big Bang Theory,” “Two and a Half Men”), according to the White House. The event was closed to reporters.

Some people waved as Obama’s motorcade passed by while others held signs saying ‘No Drilling.’
Some people weren’t thrilled with the President’s visit, which closed roads in the surrounding areas and brought traffic to a standstill in many places.
Later that night, Obama had a private dinner with Oscar-winning director and Palisadian Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg, the CEO of Dreamworks Animation.
The visit was Obama’s 22nd to Los Angeles and Orange Counties as President, attending 34 fundraisers in Los Angeles County on those trips.
