On Thursday, June 14, I sat down with Rick Caruso to get an update on the Palisades Village project. Before we walked the property, I asked him a few questions.
What are you most excited about?
“I am excited about September 22 and watching the faces of people as they see the project for their first time.”
Is there anything you are worried about?
“That’s a good question. I mean there are a lot of things that I think about, and I know we are going to make the opening day. I am really excited about all the tenants we have, and I am confident the community is going to be really happy with it.”
What stores are you most excited about?
“I am really excited about the theater and Amazon Books, and the restaurants are going to be great. I am really excited about Hank’s. Hank’s is named after my dad and it holds a special place in my heart.”
What’s your vision for September 22, 2018?

“We are going to have a community party to welcome everyone here, and it’s going to be a lot of fun, there will be a lot of celebrations, the whole weekend will be a celebration.”
How many more businesses do you have to announce?
“We actually have a lot, and we may not announce them until we open.”
Walking the entire project was incredible. I got to go into the theater (it’s going to be great) as well as the underground parking garage and one of the apartments (it was really nice). Thank you Rick for giving me the sneak peek.
