In a three-game series to determine the PPBA Pony Division champion last week, Pali White emerged victorious. Pali White edged Pali Blue 3-2 in the first game and Pali Red beat Pali Blue 5-3 the next day, setting the stage for Saturday night’s championship game at the Field of Dreams.

Jasper Hoegh-Guldberg, Grady Winget and Jude Pastino all had hits and starting pitcher Jimmy Levy struck out five and allowed two runs in three innings. Sammy Dunn, De Pastino, Ian Sullivan and Jake McCaffrey all contributed in relief as White beat Red, 6-4. It was tied in the top of the sixth when McCaffrey scored on a bunt by Sullivan. Hoegh-Guldberg then singled to score Sullivan with the final run.
Rounding out White’s roster were George Bergstrom, Vance Clark, Teddy Grandy, Max Meier, Samson Plant, Benjamin Shaheen and Jack Wolf. The coaches were Brian Sullivan, Ollie Dunn and Tim McCaffrey.
