Four members of the Palisades High golf team were in a stellar field at the Southern California Regional Championships on Nov. 14 at Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena. While none of them qualified for the state tournament, the Golfin’ Dolphins got to play against the best players from the City, Southern, Central and San Diego Sections.
Chloe Rahn was the team’s low scorer at 29 over par. Fellow freshman Mandana Sahmedini (+31), senior captain Lillia Weissmuller (+34) and sophomore Jammy Cho (+42) also represented the blue and white. Senior Mariana Paleno qualified for regionals but didn’t participate.
Palisades finished third at City Finals—its highest place ever—after winning the Western League regular season championship and taking second at League Finals.
Angelina Kim of Fairfax was the City’s lowest scorer at regionals, shooting a 4-under par 77. Jasmine Leovao from Oceanside El Camino won with a score of -2 and Troy won the team title at 392. Last Tuesday, Caroline Canales of Calabasas won the state at 1-under at Poppy Hills.  Â
