Over Memorial Day weekend, Bernadette Campbell said goodbye to the family home on DePauw Street. For 54 years, the Craft family owned the house (1966-2020). “Edna and Morgan Craft raised four sons in this home and have witnessed the many changes to our community over the years,” Campbell wrote. “Many good memories were formed here. Now, we look forward, but couldn’t help sharing this heartfelt moment/photo of Edna’s grandsons bidding the home farewell.”
Palisadian Angela Heisel shared a moment her dog, Miss Daisy, had with the
National Guard when they were in the Palisades.
Since the beginning of COVID-19 and Safer at Home orders went into place, Highlands resident Ian Murray worked by himself to trim trees, dig up weeds and clear brush from the sidewalk along Palisades Drive. “When he started, the sidewalk was barely passable,” Steven Cron wrote, “but thanks to Ian’s tireless work, it is once again a pleasure to walk up and down Palisades Drive.”
Throughout April and May, the Palisades-Malibu YMCA hosted a Shower Kit Drive to support community members during the COVID-19 pandemic.
