Lycèe Francais Palisades hosted a toy drive for the first time in almost two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic on Friday, December 17.

Community members gathered for the sixth annual toy drive by Program Humble, organized by Palisadian founder Paul Davis.
Basketball has been a driving force in Davis’ life since he was a young boy and Davis is a beloved coach and youth mentor in the Palisades. He created Program Humble in 2015 with two teams of kids he had trained over the years from families he knew he could trust.
“His toy drives have grown each year and Humble families from the Palisades are proud to be part of it,” one community member said.

The Palisades-Malibu YMCA worked with the Antelope Valley YMCA in Lancaster to distribute school backpacks filled with school supplies and snacks to local children and their families on Saturday, December 18.
“The families were so thankful for the donated items and the children were so happy and grateful for their gifts,” according to information shared by event organizers. “It was a very moving experience to be part of this event and a true validation of how special it is to make a difference to those in need. The children’s smiles were in abundance and the holiday cheer was in the air.”
