‘Bone Health in Older Adults’ | The Village
The Palisades Alliance for Seniors will take on “Bone Health in Older Adults” in a presentation by Dr. Frederick R. Singer on Monday, June 24, at Palisades Branch Library.
Singer, director of the endocrine/bone disease program at the John Wayne Cancer Institute, will discuss nutritional needs, exercise and possible medications needed to maintain bone health.

Edo Little Bites Expands to Manhattan Village | Palisades Village
Edo Little Bites, the creation of Chef Edoardo Baldi of the famed e.baldi in Beverly Hills that opened in Palisades Village in September, is expanding to a second location in Manhattan Village, due to open in fall of 2020.
The restaurant is part of a $180 million reimagining of the mall, which is located in Manhattan Beach.

Summer Writing Contest | Pacific Palisades
Palisades Branch Library is hosting its annual writing contest, offering prizes of $25, $50 and $100 worth of DIESEL, A Bookstore gift cards. Entry is allowed for grades one through 12, with five age groups and a first, second and third place prize.
With the theme Palisades Tales: From the Mountains to the Sea, stories are to be set in Pacific Palisades telling about an experience that is either a fiction or adventure story.
Entries are written over summer vacation and are to be turned in by September 3. Additional information about the contest can be found at friendsofpalilibrary.org.

Feed My Starving Children | Pacific Palisades
A Feed My Starving Children packing event will take place Thursday, June 20, at Corpus Christi Church.
The goal of the event is to feed refugees around the world by gathering nonperishable food and acquiring volunteers to pack the food, sending it to countries where people are in need of food.
Volunteers are needed in two-hour shifts available throughout the day. Jobs will include packaging food for the refugees.
