On December 6, Palisadian Laura Dern will star with other A-listers in “Marriage Story” on Netflix after a limited theatrical release starting on November 6.
In this 2019 American comedy-drama, directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Noah Baumbach, a couple goes through a coast-to-coast divorce.
The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver, Dern as the divorce lawyer, Alan Alda and former Palisadian Ray Liotta.
The film has been on its way through the film festival circuit, beginning with a premiere at the Venice International Film Festival on August 29, then at Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, Toronto International Film Festival and on to a screening at the 57th New York Film Festival.
Dern told The Hollywood Reporter that the screenplay was “flawless.”
“Observing a splintering union with compassion and expansive grace, the powerfully acted ‘Marriage Story’ ranks among writer-director Noah Baumbach’s best works,” according to Rotten Tomatoes.
The movie runs two hours and 16 minutes and is rated R.
