There was no fake news when Lennon Rudd, 12, and his 10-year-old sister, Collette, from Marquez Knolls, stood at the famed White House press room podium as part of their mission to interview D.C. officials on May 3 on behalf of Michelle Mayan’s KidScoop Media—which enables young reporters to often do better jobs than their seniors. As part of the “Be Best” campaign trip to Washington, they also saw President Donald J. Trump and the First Lady Melania Trump on friendly terms. There was only one no-go area—no beverages from the press corps’ coffee machine, donated each year by Palisadian Tom Hanks.
