Local architect and winemaker Cosimo Pizzulli’s eight-home redevelopment plan of his estate occupying the land at 560 and 690 Marquette St. has been approved by the Civic League, Richard Blumenberg told the Palisadian-Post on Friday, Sept. 1.
Described as “casual Palisadian meets Norman Rockwell,” Pizzuli’s starter homes will range between 2,923 square feet for the smallest home and 5,330 square feet for the largest.
And while the development of Marquette had received some early contention, with one neighbor claiming that the area was geologically unstable, an LA City appointed geologist determined that building on the land did not pose any threat to the street’s stability.
