Fijian Response
In response to the “controversial” Fijian photo (third and final pass, we hope); I guess we should respond now, as much as we didn’t want to:
We are the Clarks, a family with a mom and dad who’ve been married for 24 years with three boys. We’ve lived here for years.
We have been going to Fiji for some years now, and we just love the Fijian families on the island of Tavarua; they are amazing (and they wouldn’t understand this newspaper string, thankfully).
We are a-political in this pursuit. We just want to help the Fijian village on Tavarua, and introduce some LA families to the nicest people and place on Earth. If we catch some nice waves in the process, that’s not all bad.
Our sons do this (for what it matters): crowdrise.com/wwwfijiloveorg1. Moreover, each of the families in the photo brought bags of supplies for our Fijian friends.
We are sorry if we offended anyone with the photo, as that was clearly not our intent.
This is over now, we hope.
Vinaka, Aaron Clark
