Jay Mohr, an actor and comedian best known for roles in “Jerry Maguire,” “Pay It Forward” and most recently, the CBS TV show “Gary Unmarried,” has sold the home on El Medio Avenue in Pacific Palisades that he shared with fellow actress Nikki Cox, to whom he is now divorced.

The Monterey Colonial-style home in the El Medio Bluffs boasts 3,700 square feet of luxurious living space, including four bedrooms and five bathrooms, according to the listing. Its trademark characteristic is a generous balcony that lines the upper exterior.
Additional features include a butler’s pantry, fireplace and a bonus area that doubles as an office and game room.

Location is a major draw, since the home is walking distance to Will Rogers State Beach, Palisades Village and hiking trails in Temescal Canyon Park. The house sold for $3.8 million through local Realtor Yvonne Fernandes.

Mohr is currently filming supernatural thriller “The Orchard” with first-time director Michael Caissie. As an ex-“Saturday Night Live” cast member, he continues to massage his comedic muscles by regularly performing with comedy clubs and improvisation groups throughout the country.

As a side project, Mohr hosts a podcast called “Mohr Stories,” where he interviews entertainers with fascinating stories to share.

His website, jaymohr.com, offers original essays, poems and short stories in addition to information about tour dates and special appearances.

Cox is an American actress and comedy writer best known for her roles on “Unhappily Ever After,” “Nikki” and “Las Vegas”—where she met Mohr. Her career began at the age of 4, when she appeared as a dancer in ballet productions and TV specials.
