On Wednesday, May 28, Marguerite Vuong, 66, a 28-year employee of the Pacific Palisades post office, was arrested for felony hit-and-run in the incident that killed Palisadian David Pregerson.
Marguerite Vuong was arrested at approximately 4 a.m. on Chautauqua Boulevard on her way to work. Pregerson, 23, was struck by a car in the 600 block of Chautauqua in the early morning hours of Dec. 27 and succumbed to his injuries on Dec. 31.
Marguerite Vuong posted bail, which was set at $50,000.
Marguerite Vuong’s husband, Michael Vuong, also 66, was arrested May 1 for felony vehicular manslaughter and posted bail, which was set at $100,000.
On May 2, the Palisadian-Post asked Marguerite Vuong for comment about her husband Michael Vuong’s arrest and she said, “I think they’re wrong. He wasn’t there when it happened.”
Marguerite and Michael Vuong are both scheduled to appear on Friday, May 30 at the Airport Courthouse for arraignment.
