The 2019 All-Western League baseball team has been picked and Palisades High senior pitcher/outfielder Lucas Braun is the Most Valuable Player.
Not only was Braun the ace of the Dolphins’ staff, compiling an 8-0 record in 12 appearances with 112 strikeouts and a 1.02 earned run average in 75 2/3 innings, but he also had 21 hits, 22 runs, eight RBIs, nine doubles, five triples, three steals, a .396 batting average and a .754 slugging percentage.
Also making the All-League team for Palisades were pitchers Will Coquillard and Wyatt Loncar, first baseman Kye Grassl, second baseman Cord Vanley, third baseman Jared Brecher and outfielders Conrad Smith, Kent Johnson and Jake Nadley.
The Dolphins finished 12-0 in league for a second straight year.
