After powering the Palisades High softball team to its first City Section final, pitcher Molly Tenenbaum and catcher Adrianna Canas have made the All-City Division II squad.
Tenenbaum enjoyed a superb senior year, posting a 4-1 record in the circle in 59.1 innings with 71 strikeouts. Offensively, she led the Dolphins with 27 hits, 11 RBIs, two home runs, 16 runs scored and nine stolen bases. She batted .595.
Canas, a junior, had seven hits with six RBIs, four runs scored, one stolen base and behind the dish she had a .913 fielding percentage.
The Dolphins finished 8-5 and were third in the Western League behind Venice and Fairfax. They beat Sherman Oaks CES, Franklin and South Gate to reach the final, where they lost 10-6 to Gardena.
Gardena pitcher/third baseman Lilliana Gudiel was chosen Division II Player of the Year. Jillian Kelly of El Camino Real is the Open Division MVP. Nicole Mata of San Fernando won in Division I.
