Chelsey continues to excel as a junior guard on the Loyola Marymount University women’s basketball team. She led the Lions with 16 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals in Monday’s 67-59 West Coast Conference loss to San Diego. She has started 14 of the team’s 15 games and leads the squad in points (154), scoring average (11.0), assists (37) and steals (23). Chelsey averaged five points in 20 games as a freshman and was first on the team and fourth in the WCC in points (434) as a sophomore, making the All-Conference First Team. She led Palisades High to three straight City Open Division finals (winning two) and won the Palisadian-Post Cup as the school’s outstanding senior athlete in 2017.
