Major League Baseball players and brothers Tyler and Scott Heineman will be hosting the second annual Prime Time Charity Casino Classic next Thursday night at the Historic Women’s Club in Santa Monica (1210 4th St). The event will include a poker tournament, casino games, card magicians, light bites and an open bar.
This year’s event will once again feature esteemed tournament ambassadors, all current or former MLB players with local ties and a passion for giving back to their community. Ambassadors include: Ryan Braun, Christian Yelich, Mike Moustakas, Lucas Giolito, Jack Flaherty, Trevor Plouffe, and Max Fried. The event will feature craft spirits from J. Riley Distillery and craft beer from Santa Monica Brew Works, both of which are top sponsors along with Promo Shop, a promotional merchandise company based in Los Angeles.
Proceeds will benefit Team Prime Time, a 501(c)(3) organization with the mission to provide programs for at-risk children from low-income areas of Los Angeles that combine academics, athletics, leadership training, and arts. The organization operates in 40 local schools and serves nearly 4,000 students each year.
The event begins with a cicktail reception at 6 and the poker tournament begins at 7. Last yeat’s event raised over $50,000 for Team Prime Time. Tickets are available for purchase at one.bidpal.net/primetimecasinoclassic.
Tyler (28) and Scott (27) Heineman grew up on Radcliffe Avenue. Both made their major league debuts in 2019, Scott first as an outfelder with the Texas Rangers, then Tyler as a catcher with the Miami Marlins.
