ANNA SONG
A sophomore at Palisades High who won the LA City Section girls golf individual championship with a record score in the fall, Anna just won the Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford University with a score of 5-under-par 208. She birdied the first, third, eighth, 16th and 17th holes to take the outright lead and sealed the title with a par on No. 18. It was the 15-year-old’s first career AJGA win and she is the youngest ever champion of the west coast all-girls invitational. The field showcased the best female junior golfers from around the world with 11 players ranked inside the Top 25 of the Rolex AJGA Rankings. Anna is currently No. 82. In addition to the individual title she led the Dolphins to their second straight City team championship in November at Balboa Golf Course. As a freshman, she was runner-up at City Finals and finished 18th at the CIF state championships in Pebble Beach.
