A free arthritis exercise class will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in September and October at the Palisades Recreation Center at 851 Alma Real Dr.
The program, developed by the Arthritis Foundation, is for people 60 years of age and older, with or without arthritis. Led by Carol Hahn, MSN, RN, the class is sponsored by Jewish Family Services.
The class meets 12 times over six weeks and Hahn said that exercisers will get the most benefit by attending as many classes as possible. “You will work at your level, either sitting in a chair or standing,” Hahn said.
Class dates are September 3, 10, 17, 19, 24 and 26. (No classes on September 5 or 12.) Classes meet in October on 1, 3, 8, 10, 15 and 17.
Call: (310) 454-1412.
