Pacific Palisades resident Greg Alper’s Beatles-inspired digital photomontages will be on exhibit Wednesday, November 2 through December 14 at Cafe Vida, 15317 Antioch St. Alper calls his photomontages ‘time-dimensional portraits.’ They are composites of images, sometimes of the same subject, captured at different points in time. Those in the portrait may be seen interacting with their younger or older selves, or in other imaginative scenarios. The artist hit upon the idea when creating a collage of photos of himself and his father. The work on display will include a portrait of Paul McCartney and representations of Beatles’ songs and musical phrases, as well as a series of mythological archetypes. See alperdigitalart.com.
