Three gifted young performers will play for the America-Israel Cultural Foundation’s garden party fundraiser at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, at a private Beverly Hills estate. Tibi Cziger (clarinet), Michal Korman (cello) and Sivan Magen (harp) will perform a combination of string trios and duos by Gabriel Faur’, Manuel de Falla, Tal Ben Haim and others. Cziger, described as an ‘exciting soloist and passionate chamber musician,’ is the founder and artistic director of the Israeli Chamber Project, an initiative bringing young, outstanding Israeli musicians together to play. Korman has performed as soloist with the Israel Philharmonic and is a founding member of ICP. Magen is the only Israeli to have ever won the prestigious International Harp Contest in Israel. AICF is the principal private funder of the arts in Israel, awarding more than 1,000 scholarships a year to talented Israeli youngsters and cultural institutions in music, dance, theatre, composition, conducting, film and television. For tickets ($175, which includes a light supper following the musical performance), call (310) 476-5397.
