Palisadian Andrea Dyke discovered her niche in the fashion market when she was unable to replace a well-loved Marimekko shift she wore as a young mother in the 1960’s. With a little hustle-and-bustle A Della Dress was born. This October marks the third anniversary of her debut collection.

Each collection consists of an A-line dress in three different styles: a shift, a sheath and a shirt. Simply choose the style and fabric from 12 seasonally rotating natural textiles.
Dyke can be seen around town looking effortless in her own creations “since they are suitable for most occasions, are very easy to wear and always look fresh.” Marimekko and Lilly Pulitzer were the initial inspirations for the brand, however these days Lisa Perry, Derek Lam, Dries Van Noten and Saint Lauren have found their way to her most recent inspiration board.

Her customers range in age from 25-75. The A Della Dress website showcases women of all ages and sizes (sizes range between XS-XL) demonstrating their own sense of style – the dresses are like beautiful blank canvases.
When asked about what she loves about living in the Palisades Dyke responded, “I love that we live on the edge of a world-class city with all the benefits that entails and yet are protected from it by mountains with fabulous hiking trails at one end and the ocean on the other.
I especially love running into someone I know every time I head into the Village, listening to the trill of children and their activities in our local schools, the day-long celebration on the Fourth of July, and the fact that we have the Pallisadian-Post to chronicle it all.”
