Stop Cancer Pops Up a Night of Fashion

It was a night of fabulous fashion and delectable food at the Malibu Country Mart, Thursday Sept. 4. The cool ocean breeze and setting sun couldn’t have been a better backdrop for the runway presentation of Fall looks from edgy fashion label Morgane Le Fay and über-cool luxury men’s designer John Varvatos. I.C.O.N. provided the latest looks in hair and makeup.

STOP CANCER, an organization founded by Dr. Armand Hammer in 1988 in partnership with Sherry Lansing, collaborated with Malibu Country Mart to host the STOP CANCER Pop Up Night of Fashion.

After the fashion show, guests had the opportunity to shop the looks with 20 percent of the proceeds donated to the organization. Local restaurants and beverage vendors were on hand to feed hungry shoppers. It was a unique way to honor a cause that has touched so many.

Palisadians Cindy Simon and her fashion blogger daughter Lindsay of lindsayandlace.com had front-row seats. Cindy, who said they were there “just for fun,” was the lucky winner in a raffle.
