Leaf Blowers
I’m always surprised to see neighbors still arguing about leaf blowers in the community, I recommend a battery powered/ electric one if it’s such a nuisance. They make far less noise and aren’t as harmful as gas leaf blowers (which are banned in Los Angeles…)
Farmers Market
I was so happy to hear about the Farmer’s Market return, I hope it went swell this weekend! Can’t wait to pay a visit myself.
Landscape
As a resident who loves Pacific Palisades, I am happy for the new convenient and fair priced landscape company to continue to beautify the community.
Face Coverings
Although I do not live in the Palisades, I am used to being there every day for school. Because of e-learning, I am only able to visit the Palisades once in a while. I’m actually very surprised to see most Palisadians wearing protective face coverings. I do feel that all the businesses and stores are properly following guidelines and I feel very safe being in the Palisades during this time.
Scooters
I’ve noticed an influx of scooters while walking around town. Is anyone even using them? They seem to be back on every corner and I never see anyone riding them.
Beaches
Friendly reminder as we head into the weekend: If you’re going to visit our beaches, PLEASE take your trash home with you! I have seen so many disheartening photos of waste on the sand across California. We are blessed to have this available to us, we need to take care of it.
Meetings
It’s hard to find a silver lining sometimes but one thing I have appreciated about our “new normal” is the ability to tune into more community and city meetings than I normally would have access to. The ease of logging in from home virtually has allowed me to keep a closer watch on what’s going on.
