On Sunday, September 15, Canyon Charter Elementary
School celebrated the return of Jammin’ in the Canyon—a mini concert festival fundraiser. Performances included Emmy-winning recording artist Rachel Platten and Grammy-nominated Palisadian Rocky Dawuni, as well The MudBug Brass Band and Orpheus.
The Optimist Club of Pacific Palisades recently voted approval for the 2019-20 slate of officers. The newly elected offers are President Rick DeWeese and Treasurer Sumako Cohrs. The Board of Directors includes Ben Adel, Hayden Roush, Stu Kaiser, Peter Scolney, Geoff Sheldon, Chuck McGlothlin, Bill Skinner and Ex Officio Rich Wilken.

Patti Lemieux, Lauren Burrus and La Donna Wertlieb participated in a Coastal Clean Up along Temescal Canyon on September 21, just north of the playground.
