LAFD
Cannot explain why the report of LAFD‘s helicopter rescue of the Temescal Canyon hiker gave me such a warm, fuzzy feeling… but it did. We often say how lucky we are to live in this wonderful playground of beaches, canyons, but we don’t say often enough how grateful we are for the people who keep us safe. Plus, through the efforts of many they are close by.. gives me comfort.
Sharon
Big thank you to Sharon Kilbride for her efforts and solutions on cleaning up the bike path on Chautauqua!!
National Guard
I can’t believe someone would be moved by the village being protected by the National Guard. Would you rather have Riots and Destruction in our village? By the way I don’t think a private citizen can get the National Guard to appear. There was obviously a credible threat. Santa Monica’s business district was devastated.
Schools
A note of gratitude to all teachers, school staff, and administrators. We know that learning will look very different this fall. Thank you for all your care, innovation, planning and creativity as kids continue with remote learning. You are true heroes and our hearts are with you and your students.
Schools II
I hope all the kiddos here in the Palisades are gearing up for the upcoming school year, make it a great one!!
Locals
I notice that the locals are so respectful of the mask and distancing, but still having fun and supportive of the economy in the Palisades. I saw Caruso hand out many $100.00 tips in support and it warmed my heart. Hope Palisadians shop more in the Palisades in support of our tiny town.
Travel
Even though traveling wasn’t really an option this summer, I hope everybody still enjoyed time well spent with their families at home. I know it’s taught me not to take the small things for granted.
Shop Local
It’s been so sad to see shops throughout town close and not survive this pandemic… I hope those that still stand, make it through. Take this as a reminder to continue supporting small businesses if you can!
