Stay off Driveways
Parents please educate and enforce with your kids who scooter and skateboard all over house driveways that this is unacceptable and dangerous! If an automatic garage door suddenly opens and a homeowner backs up on their OWN driveway and does not see a TRESPASSING person on a scooter or skateboard, a tragedy is going to occur. We have tried to tell these kids this and it just goes in one ear out the other and they irreverently repeat it the next day.
Fourth of July
Though Fourth of July feels vastly different this year, I am proud of our community for stepping it up and making it special. I love seeing the yarn at the Village Green and I love the idea of a virtual concert on Fourth of July. Though it’s not the same, it will fill a hole until we can celebrate together in 2021. I’m also excited to see how the community singalong turns out!
Fourth of July II
Although it’s unfortunate that the firework show and parade are cancelled this year, I wish everybody a safe Fourth of July weekend! It’s for the betterment of our health and I hope we can all celebrate together next year.
Beaches
It’s a GOOD thing the beaches are closed this weekend. I’m sad too, but more harm can be done than good….
School
Interested in the conversation the community might be having about school in the fall, are you for getting kids back to school in-person by the fall? Things are changing everyday.
Leaf Blowers
Some things change and some things stay the same. I’m glad to see leaf blowers are back in the paper. Reminds me of pre-pandemic times.
Spray Bottle
So today I was at a local grocery store and these kids thought it would be funny to start fake coughing on me with a spray bottle. It is ridiculous with this pandemic going on.
