National Guard
I don’t need to remind Palisadians how lucky we are to live where we do. Nor should I have to point out the benefits to our Community of the “Caruso Village”. There was a destitute street, albeit with a beloved history, that was run down, and empty. It gave us nothing. So why is there so much resentment? Legitimate Protesting not withstanding, there was violence, looting & destruction associated with these latest events. Beverly Hills and Santa Monica businesses suffered terribly. Rodeo Drive was barricaded, BH Police in riot gear, backed up by SWAT vehicles, guarded the shopping district. I saw it myself. So why not our shopping district?
Lost Dog
Holly. Border Collie, two-years-old, black with white chest. Please call Paul (310) 459-4745.
Owls
Have you ever stopped and paid attention to the beautiful wildlife that surrounds the Palisades? If you haven’t, you definitely should! It’s not something to be taken for granted, I personally love spotting owls.
Masks
Lots of notice of people not wearing masks in the Village and around town… this is a health issue, don’t be selfish and put others’ lives at risk. Please continue wearing your mask.
Dine-In
Would anyone care to share their experience dining-in now that restaurants are reopening? I’m curious, but the idea seems so foreign to me now.
Thank You
In times like these, a sense of belonging is even more important. “Palisadian-Post,” thank you so much for being such a wonderful reminder, every week, of how valuable ‘town’ is in all our lives. Lucky us to have a local paper that celebrates the joy of life – and the importance of friends and community.
