Green
I love our festive neighborhood. Perhaps this year’s Halloween and Holiday competitions can focus on environmentally friendly decorations. I’d love a to see a green category prize.(Editor’s note: Stay tuned! The Post has plans to launch an additional green category prize for this year’s holiday Deck Your Halls contest.)
Temescal
Temescal lane closure: What could be so daunting to cause the delay in fixing the water leak? Makes traffic a nightmare when Pali lets out!
(Editor’s note: Repair work on Temescal Canyon Road was slated to begin Monday, October 2, according to the office of Councilmember Traci Park.)
Headlines
The Post’s recurring major headlines are about how the City has bungled our lone evacuation route (Temescal) and can’t keep us safe (with just one police car patrolling the area, when towns of our size routinely have dozens of officers). Genuine question: why is the Palisades still part of LA? I’m baffled.
Jubilee
It was so fun to attend the PPCC Jubilee! What a great turnout of different organizations. I loved seeing everyone in person too. Kudos to PPCC.
Theatre Palisades
I just saw that Theatre Palisades will be doing Agatha Christie for its next show. Now THAT is a show I am looking forward to!
‘Mean Girls’
Go see Mean Girls! It’s a Palisades Broadway production with unbelievable talent.
Holidays
So strange that it is the start of October and so many shops have already discounted Halloween decor, and filled their shelves with Christmas items! Can we give each holiday their proper time to shine? Jeez.
