Movies in the Park
What happened to August Movies in the Park? Our family enjoyed this tradition so much.
(Editor’s note: Movies in the Park, which hosted free showings on Saturday nights at Palisades Recreation Center during August for years before the COVID-19 pandemic, is donating its equipment and working alongside Senior Facility Director Jasmine Dowlatshahi, who will host movies at the rec center throughout the year. Dowlatshahi reported at the recent Park Advisory Board meeting that the first movie screening would take place in October, so stay tuned for more information. MITP Founder David Williams said he is explaining the “ins and outs” of the event to Dowlatshahi.)
Sunset Smash
The new smash burger pop-up in front of Ralphs, Sunset Smash, is delicious.
Jaxon Bell
Enjoyed reading the vroom vroom article about young Pali High grad Jaxon Bell and his car racing family. Loved the photos, his race car that looks like Formula 1 style is totally cool. Always love Steve Galluzzo’s articles.
Traffic Light
Why is the traffic light at Temescal and PCH so short? It is ridiculous.
PPWC
Loved reading about all the grants the Palisades Woman’s Club gives to a wide range of community needs!
Ali Riley
Ali Riley kicked the winning goal for host country New Zealand—epic win over Norway. So happy for her and soooo cool she gets to play in the World Cup, New Zealand’s first ever World Cup match win.
