Parking
Alert! The parking space at 800 Swarthmore (across from Black Ink & yogurt shoppe) is now Electric Charging Only. I got a ticket after parking and paying for 2 hours. There is a sign but it looks like the old 2 hour parking sign and I have parked there for years so I didn’t look. Electric box is small and attached to the power pole, it is not an obvious Tesla type charging station. I wonder what other meters have been quietly switched?
Lost Keys

Cleanup
I love seeing the local beach cleanup efforts. Ideally, when we visit our local outdoor spaces, we will learn to leave no trace, but until then, I am glad our community takes the time to be stewards of the spaces.
Kudos to Craig
Craig Weston is such a cool guy. He was featured in last week’s Labor Day/Weather story and his name always strikes me when I read about his weather-tracking: Be it rain or shine! Kudos to him.
Gas-Powered Cars
California is on its way to ban gas-powered cars by 2035 … That’s wild! That’s a big claim—and I have a lot of questions—but I’m optimistic. I hope this shows to be a true environmental game changer.
Cinque Terre WEST
I might need to dig into the Post’s archives and read about Cinque Terre WEST because I just got back from Italy and I am already looking for some authentic Italian dishes, and their menu is screaming my name. Any other suggestions?
Weather
I drove through Malibu on Friday and wow—something had happened on PCH, so Waze had me take one of the canyons. It was 80+ degrees, POURING rain, the biggest drops I had ever seen. It was one of the weirdest weather experiences I can remember.
