What a fantastic parade! There were so many participants and the energy was amazing. So many happy families all around me, and community members who treated me like a lifelong friend. Thanks Palisades for another warm and memorable celebration!

As much as I personally love fireworks, I do wish there was a way to have them without all the noise. My poor dogs were stressed all weekend. Does anybody have any recommendations so I can be better prepared next year? How do you help comfort your dogs??

Another fun Independence Day parade! Next year it would be nice to require all the parade vehicles to be electric.

The view from the Palisades of hundreds of fireworks displays across Los Angeles was spectacular, but not worth the air pollution.

Jeez, I joined Nextdoor to stay informed and connect with my neighbors but people are so hostile. If a post has 20 comments, I’ll bet you at least 10 of them are negative/bitter/flat-out mean. It confuses me because people I meet out and about are so kind in the Palisades, but my guess is it is easier to be mean behind the screen. This is my plea, be kind online.
