Pali High
Pali High teachers, please return to campus. Even though the kids still aren’t allowed to be there, they need to see that you care enough about them to show up. All of you could be vaccinated by now, the infection rate in Los Angeles is now one of the lowest in the United States, and many high schools in this County are already offering in-person, on campus instruction.
Disdain
Palisadians’ disdain for unhoused people is absolutely abhorrent. Where else do you want them to go? You don’t like seeing them in the streets, you don’t like seeing them on park benches, you don’t like seeing them at parks… you won’t house them yourself, so what problem do you have with them being housed on public property? Be grateful that you have a home to live in. Some people aren’t as lucky.
#CutOutCutlery
Reached out last week with a few words, in hopes that the greater LA area would follow suit in Resilient Palisades’ efforts to #CutOutCutlery and now LA is officially limiting the use of disposable utensils in restaurants! That’s so awesome, we’re definitely making progress.
Community
I love that I can count on our community! Every time I log onto Nextdoor I see that the community has helped reunite another pet with their owner. Whether it be a cat or dog or another furry friend, I can’t express enough how nice it is to know that we all have an eye out for one another.
Palisades Drive
I recently came across a post about slowing down to protect wildlife in the Palisades, especially on Palisades Drive, and I could not agree more. We have to be careful when sharing the space. It’s so sad to see dead/injured animals in the road.
