Pali Post, thank you for emailing a comprehensive list of local business hours for the holidays. During Covid, the list helps us support our local businesses while planning better and staying safe. Happy Holidays!
Several of our local businesses are continuously suffering during this pandemic and I’d just like to remind the community that small shops need our support now more than ever. Please support them if you have the chance. These are our neighbors, this is our community.
There have been a lot of reports of theft lately, be careful Palisades. I highly suggest getting a video camera to catch anyone trying to break into your car, mailbox, house. It sometimes scares off thieves as well.
In your 12/31 issue under “Starbucks” what an unfortunate idea you had to revisit the comment submitted on 2/13. The rule may be that the person exiting the door has the right-of-way, but as a courtesy which this mother should have taught her 13 year old, when the much younger person sees an elderly individual enter or leave the building, he or she should let them go through first, even hold the door for them. That is what my parents taught me and it is called having good manners.
I was shocked to walk into Erewhon Market & see the entire place packed with NO social distancing. It was appalling. I walked straight out. Do better Erewhon.
Everyone really should just be staying home, there is no need for travel or leisurely outings. Wear your face mask, social distance, and stop gathering with others outside of your household. Start taking this seriously if you haven’t already.
