Take your fitness to the next level at the Palisades-Malibu YMCA with High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.), a series of exercises that alternates between bursts of intense movement followed by brief periods of recovery. On Fridays from 8-9:30 a.m., members can take the classes for free with Betsy.
H.I.I.T. helps improve athletic conditioning, improve cardiovascular health, increase the body’s ability to burn fat, build more energy and burn calories.
Other available classes include indoor cycling with Carley on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-6:55 a.m., a high-energy, low-imapct cardio workout that simulates a road bike ride with resistance and heart pumping music. The class is free for members.
Mothers can interact with young children in Mom and Baby Club with Alice Wood, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-11:45 a.m. The fee is $40 for facility members and $95 for program members and the age group is 12-24 months.
