If the Palisades High boys golf team thought a fourth consecutive City Section title was in the bag, it learned a valuable lesson when it lost its season opener Feb. 25 to Granada Hills at Rancho Park.
Last week, the Golfin’ Dolphins had a chance to redeem themselves and they made the most of it with a 14-stroke victory on the Highlanders’ home course at Knollwood Country Club.
Ray Yang earned medalist honors with a 2-under par 34 and Grant Ebner fired a 39 as Palisades shot 196. Jason Simon shot a 40, Ethan Rautbort shot a 41, Will Holbrow shot a 42, Jeff Hahn shot a 43 and Kaelen Nettleship shot a 44 to round out the scoring for Coach James Paleno’s squad.
Palisades is practicing rigorously for its final three league matches before the league finals May 10 at Wilson Golf Course in Griffith Park.
